Helminauha-matto / Helminauha rug

Tämä Kauhavan Kangas-Aitan ohjeilla tehty Helminauha-matto valmistui ja pääsi uuteen kotiinsa Mummin luo jo keväällä . On kuulemma kaunis, pehmeä ja mieluinen :) Kuva tulee vasta nyt perässä, kännykkäkameralla otettuna. Materiaalina Someron Langan matonkude, työkaluna virkkuukoukku numero 10.



This Helminauha rug, which was made with the instructions from Kauhavan Kangas-Aitta, was done already in the spring. It found a home at my Grandma's, who thinks the rug is beautiful, soft and nice :) The picture, taken with a mobile phone, comes only now. I used white tricot from Someron Lanka and a crochet hook number 10.

Aura-matto / Aura rug

Pidän mattojen virkkauksesta, koska se on nopeaa ja hauskaa. Tähän Aura-mattoon meni noin kaksi kiloa Someron Langan viininpunaista matonkudetta. Tein hieman pienemmän kuin Kauhavan Kangasaitan ohjeessa, koska matonkudetta ei ollut tarpeeksi isoon mattoon. Tuloksena hieno pikkumatto, läpileikkaus 78 senttimetriä.

I like crocheting rugs as it is fast and fun. This Aura rug took about two kilos of tricot from Someron Lanka. I made a bit smaller rug than in the instructions (in Finnish) as I did not have enough material for a big one. The result is a cute little rug, measuring 78 cm across.

Asteri-matto / Asteri rug

Virkkasin tämän maton jo syksyllä matonkudehullutuksen aikaan. Kympin koukulla virkattuna matonkudetta meni todella paljon, yhteensä noin neljä kiloa. Kävin välillä torilla ostamassa lisää kudetta Someron Langalta. Tämä matto piti antaa joululahjaksi, mutta vieläkin se siellä meidän olohuoneen lattialla suoristuu. I crocheted this rug already in September in the midst of my tricot madness. I used altogether about four kilos of tricot for this rug, which I crocheted with hook number 10. I even went to get some more from Someron Lanka when they came to a market nearby. The rug was supposed to go to someone as Christmas present but it is still getting straightened on our living room floor. Juhannusruusu-matto / Midsummer Rose rug

Olen viime aikoina virkannut paljon, mika on itsellenikin ihmeellistä. Tikkuaminen kun on aina ollut lempilajini. Tässä suuren koukun jälkiä eli Juhannusruusu-matto matonkuteesta. Tämä oli nopea ja helppo työ. Kaksi iltaa kului, eikä ottanut edes käsiin kipeää kun valitsin kympin koukun.

Lately I have crocheted a lot, which somehow surprises me. Namely, knitting has always been my favourite sport. Here is something I crocheted with a big hook from tricot, namely Midsummer Rose rug (some would also call it doily). It was a quick and easy job. It took me two evenigns to crochet, and my hands were not even hurting since I used size ten hook.
